Dear Renate!

Happy Holidays! Why have you not answered my letter? How was your party and how was the report card. Our party got hugely lively, pity you did not come to our party. My report card was good. I will go to the Girls Gymnasium. In what school will you go now? Into the seminar or will you stay on, as the school is not bad and will give you a steady profession and all. Write me about your plans and all the news. In the morning I will go to town. Adele

The next one seems to be some game with postcards. As why else would the text say: "A dear visitor will arrive. Feed him/her properly!"

But the last one makes me wonder most. The text says: "Into hands of Helene Uustalu. To remember me. For a school-sister. From nobody"

And I wonder - who kept the card for decades before it got sold? Was the card delivered and the receiver kept it into her old age? Was the author too timid and just kept the card as a memento of lost opportunities, of friendships not developed?

May-be I DID make a mistake yesterday when reading a warning sign on fence, but that does not mean there are no rabbits in yards around here!

What a posh rabbit-hutch, though. In my day the rabbits lived in wooden boxes, not in mansions like this one!

I still love the beware the dog signs on fences, even if I have not posted the pictures for long time. So, here come couple:

Agressive Dog!

"Agressive Dog!"

I guard my home. I bite!

"I guard my home. I bite!"

Expert on Shin-bones

"Expert on Shin-bones"

Well, but today when I was returning from post office, hot and tired, my thoughts already on a glass of water I could have when getting home (even if not a cold one, as the fridge is still broken), I suddenly stopped, baffled, not believing what I had glimpsed from corner of my eye:

Rabid Rabbit Roaming Inside??? )

Salme sometimes likes to share her school achievements.

- I got an A for Russian!

- For what?

- Conversation in restaurant, cafe or ... what was the word? Столoвая!

- Eh, the teaching of Russian has changed from my time! We used just to study the classics, so ending up in trouble whenever something everyday needed to be said in Russian!

- Sure, how can one one use in a mundane situation something like: Выпьем, добрая подружка!

... and we both burst out laughing, as Salme had picked a part of poem that, actually , MIGHT come useful in everyday company.
